Dedale is a prototype of a constraint database for multidimensional data, conceived for spatio-temporal applications. It is implemented on top of BASIS, and uses a graphical user interface for querying purposes. Its main characteristics are (i) to offer a real abstraction of geometric data allowing the development of high level extensible query languages with a potential for optimization, while (ii) allowing the use of optimal computation techniques for spatial queries.
Currently Dedale was tested on Geographical applications, click here for more details.
Dedale was also handling spatio-temporal applications, click here for more details.
